Skyloth began in Moscow, where Ilya Sapachev wrote the first songs. The band is now based in Amsterdam, with an international line-up: Sapachev on guitars and vocals, Aleksei Berdnik on bass, Nof Simsolo on drums and Matheus Cavalcante on guitar.

Blackened post-death metal: black metal’s cold reach carried on death metal weight, with the room post-metal gives it. Blackened serenades to the beauty of death — melodic without turning pop, heavy without tipping into pure extremity. The lyrics keep circling one subject from different angles: humans and nature, humans and each other, humans and their own consciousness. Moral relativity, the parts we hand to god and to the devil, and what it takes to belong somewhere.

In February 2025 Skyloth played the Noord-Holland qualifier of the Wacken Metal Battle at Podium Victorie in Alkmaar, alongside SCAR, Hyla and Damnation. The single and official video Fall of the Empire followed in February 2026, and the album Home — written, recorded and mixed by the band — arrived on 1 May 2026. In June that year they supported Demichron’s album release at Cinetol in Amsterdam, with Ann My Dice.
